The China Automobile Dealers Association has released a weekly report on used cars (August 19-25, 2024). From August 19 to 25, 2024, the average daily transaction volume was 59,200 vehicles, and the transaction scale remained almost at the same level as last week, continuing to stay at a low level. According to comparable calculations, from August 1 to 25, the transaction volume of used cars amounted to 1.3 million, which is 2% less compared to the same period in July. The combined impact of changes in extreme weather conditions, fluctuations in consumer confidence, and seasonal market decline influenced the overall market trend. It is expected that the trading volume in August will reach about 1.57 million vehicles, which is almost the same as the same period last year.
